Privacy policy

Draft of 2026-09-16

Draft — not yet in effect. PiggyButler is not accepting new accounts yet. This policy describes how the service handles information and will be reviewed before anyone is asked to agree to it.

Two kinds of information

Yours, as our customer. When you create an account we hold your email address, your name, your business’s name, and when you accepted our terms. We use it to run your account and to write to you about it. When something goes wrong in the app, we record technical details of the error so we can fix it.

Your customers’, which you put into PiggyButler. The emails, contact-form messages, contact details and articles in your account belong to you. We store and process them only to run the service for you, and the database only lets each business’s own team see its tickets, contacts and internal notes.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and loads nothing from other companies.

Your help centre’s visitors

  • Questions asked of the help-centre assistant are stored with the answer given, without any address or identifier, so you can see what your customers ask.
  • To stop abuse of the contact form and the assistant, we keep a one-way, salted fingerprint of the visitor’s internet address — never the address itself.

Who helps us run the service

We use a small number of providers, and share with each only what it needs:

  • Supabase — our database and file storage
  • Vercel — hosting for the app and this website
  • Resend — sending and receiving email
  • OpenAI — writing AI drafts and assistant answers, from the question and the relevant articles
  • Stripe — taking payments; we never see your card number

How long we keep it

Support history is kept for as long as your account exists, because it is a record of what was said. Deleted articles and questions stay in a bin for 30 days first. If you close your account, ask us and we will tell you how to get a copy of your information before it is removed.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are a customer of a business that uses PiggyButler, please contact that business first — they decide what happens to their records.
